The commission process is a close collaboration between the patron and the artist in which a shared vision is given reality.

There are two important issues when painting a commissioned portrait. First, I need a clear photo, well-lit and representative of your animal companion. Secondly, I must have an understanding of the personality I'm painting. I like to learn as much as I can about your friend, so I can truly ‘paint their soul.’ Inevitably during the painting process I become deeply connected to each subject.
